I've been sending a bunch of Beach Boys songs to...
Because nothing to make a person feel better than a little touch of Wilson. And because Brian Wilson had so many issues that he wrote songs relating to a lot of issues so it’s easy to find Beach Boys songs that people with issues can relate to.

Now I understand why on-campus movie screenings...
Not only do you get a show but you get douchebags in the audience periodically shouting out things resulting in inappropriate audience laughter over which my shushes could not be heard. But whatever, “Drive” was a really good movie, incredibly violent, but it was very well-done and oddly touching. Ryan Gosling was excellent as were Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston and friggin Albert...

It's completely ridiculous that Shailene Woodley...
She would have been my pick to win. She at least deserved to be on the ballot over Melissa McCarthy who’s nominated because she crapped in a sink.
Wow, Gabrielle Giffords look great.
It’s so nice to see how she’s recovered.

Jim Rash co-wrote The Descendants?
That is fucking awesome. That means that Community now stars an Oscar nominee as Dean Pelton. Maybe that will keep it on the air.
gabizang replied to your post: Fuck yes, Gary Oldman, nominated for the first time!
I don’t think War Horse deserves a ‘best motion picture’ nominee. I thought it was so cliché, and flat at times.
I haven’t seen it though I’ve heard it’s pretty boring. But the four movies that I really wanted to see nominated (Descendants, Tree of Life, Hugo, Midnight in Paris) are there so...

Fuck yes, Gary Oldman, nominated for the first...
I still want Clooney to win but good for Oldman!
But in general I think the acting categories are big disappointments this year.
No Shailene Woodley or Ben Kingsley? Why are Brad Pitt and Jessica Chastain nominated for other movies besides The Tree of Life? Jonah Hill?? Melissa McCarthy???
It’s kind of baffling.
Why are there only eight Best Picture nominees?
I’m so confused.
Not disappointed though, because they nominated all the movies that deserved it.

Anonymous asked: come around to people, they all have faults, and the people that you want to find will come to you, but the good ones can't find you if you are not there looking since great friends only meet at checkpoints on their own wayward journeys, and hopefully guide each other to the next point in their life.

Okay, it is sad that he died.
But it really pisses me off that people are implying that Paterno shouldn’t have been fired. He knew that Sandusky was a rapist yet he did nothing about it. If he cared so much about Penn State, he wouldn’t have let Sandusky run free. The innocence and safety of those kids should have been more important to him than his football team.
No, Joe Paterno is not dead and yes, he did...
giantbaby asked: "judging people he doesn't know" yeah okay anon, vomiting in the hallway and being so loud you keep other people up all night is not acceptable in an institution you are paying a huge amount of money to attend, and adam is perfectly within his rights to be annoyed with them and to go to his RA if he wants. you can drink and party and still be considerate of other people.
Anonymous asked: It's not really that necessary to judge them, the vast majority of teens take part in things like this. I know it's annoying and loud but they're just having a good time, you can't base such a strong opinion on their normal college-kid partying.

I'm sorry for all the complaining but I'm really...
I really don’t care what people do at college parties, I really don’t. If they want to get drunk, good for them. But they shouldn’t be taking it on campus. I don’t like having to complain to my RA hours after midnight because drunk people are being too loud outside of my dorm and I’ve had to do that three nights in a row. I also don’t like having to walk...
My hard drive crashed last night.
So now I’m awkwardly hanging out in the campus’s computer lab with one other person on the other side of the room. Woohoo party.

How much I hate people doesn’t bother me as much as how many people I hate.
Why do people suck so much?

Last night's episode of The Office was by far the...
The writing has hit an all-time low. I would like to forget about this episode altogether which should be fairly easy considering nothing memorable happened. Everyone was acting out of character, none of those out-of-character actions were likable, and frankly I think it’s embarrassing that this is the same series that starred Steve Carell just last year.
Oh, and Pam, come back.

welp…thats how everywhere works. even up by us. bars will always be open much later than any other place because theres a time for a bar and a time for other stores… you know?
True, but we also have 24 hour convenience stores near us. :P

Eh whatever, I was just angry last night because I walked all the way to Walgreens only to find that it was closed yet Landmark was open.

Oh my god, I hate this fucking campus on Thursday...
I have a class tomorrow, and I don’t give a shit if you want to get piss-drunk and scream at your friends, you don’t do it outside a fucking dorm where people are trying to fucking sleep so they can get up for their fucking classes tomorrow morning.
Glassboro is a sleazy town at night.
Seriously, the only place open off-campus after 11:00 is the liquor store. And yet Walgreens closes at 10:00. Get your shit together, Walgreens.

My short essay on "In My Life" for my Music...
There are several reasons why I chose “In My Life” as my #1 song. I think a good place to start is to mention the significance The Beatles had on pop culture and on music as a whole. They were able to take seemingly simple melodies and merge them with complex sounds, which is a format that continues to make great popular music to this very day. I would argue that a few of the other songs on my...

I decided I would only pick one song per artist and I haven’t picked an order yet (we have to make an order) except that In My Life is #1.
The Beatles - In My Life
Elton John - Tiny Dancer
Fleetwood Mac - Dreams
Bob Dylan - Like a Rolling Stone
Elliott Smith - Angeles
Bruce Springsteen - Growin’ Up
The Beach Boys - Caroline, No
Billy Joel - Scenes from an Italian Restaurant

Parks and Recreation is LIT'rally the best show on...
Last night’s episode is proof. From the cast’s walk to the podium on ice to Champion, the three-legged dog to Ben’s claymation… I honestly can’t love this show enough. The writing, the acting, it’s just all perfect. Nobody was pulling a Jerry, except for Jerry (or is it Gerry?), but even he is just awesome and I am confident he will bring the Hawaiian shirt...

I watch Jon Stewart every night but there is an energy of seeing it live in the studio that you just don’t get from watching it on TV. It was so much fun.
